Contractor AI Office
vs Jobber

Excellent software. Here's where our shapes differ.

Under about a million, buy Jobber

Jobber is excellent, it's used by more than 400,000 service pros, it publishes every price per seat and per plan, and at a couple of hundred dollars a month for a small crew it is very hard to beat. If you're under about $1M with a handful of people, buy Jobber. Genuinely — come back when you've got a few crews and an office that can't keep up.

We start being the better answer somewhere north of that, usually around the point where you're paying per seat for people who barely open it.

Every claim in the Jobber column comes from their own published pages or public reviews. Where we could not verify something, the cell says so rather than guessing.

The difference a roadmap can't close

Where the shapes diverge.

Per-seat pricing does something specific as you grow: every person you hire makes the software more expensive, including the ones who open it twice a month. That isn't a flaw in Jobber — it's what per-seat pricing is, and for a small crew it's the reason Jobber is such good value.

The trade-off flips somewhere as you scale. We charge one price for the company and add capability by department rather than by headcount, so growth makes us cheaper per person rather than more expensive. That only matters above a certain size — below it Jobber wins on price, and we'd tell you so.

Migration

If you decide to move, here's what's involved.

Check your contract first. If you're on an annual term there will be notice requirements — read them before you plan anything, and don't let anyone rush you past them.

We'll do the migration at no charge. Customers, jobs, estimates, photos and history come across. Custom fields and some configuration need rebuilding — we'll tell you which before you commit, not after.

This is the same advice we'd give you if you were moving to somebody else entirely.

If anything on this page is wrong, tell us. Email office@contractoraioffice.com — including if you work there. We verify and correct within 24 hours and note the change publicly at the bottom of the page. We'd rather be corrected in public than right in private.
